From Kerikeri Airport:
- Turn left out of the airport towards (State Highway) SH10.
- Turn left at the roundabout heading north on SH10 and drive
through Waipapa.
- 1 1/2 km's past Waipapa (at the top of the hill) turn right onto
Kapiro Road.
- Drive for 2 km's and there is a left turn onto Purerua Road.
- Drive for 11 km's until the tar seal road turns to gravel,
continue for 300 meters.
- On your left you will see an electric gate and a sign 'Tapuaetahi
Farm'.
- When you have entered the code, drive down to the end of the
road until you see the beach, the road forks, take the road to the
right and drive past all of the houses along the beach. At the point
the tar seal road turns to gravel turn right up a steep driveway.
It takes about 3 1/2 hours from
Auckland:
- Head north from Auckland on
(State Highway) SH 1 and follow for roughly 3 hours via Whangarei
and Kawakawa ( need to turn left to Kawakawa, still on SH1).
- About 10km's after Kawakawa
is Pakaraka where you need to turn right onto SH 10, towards
Kerikeri.
- Keep on SH 10 past the
Kerikeri turnoff, and drive through Waipapa.
- 1 1/2 km's past Waipapa (at
the top of the hill) turn right onto Kapiro Road.
- Drive for 2 km's and there
is a left turn onto Purerua Road.
- Drive for 11 km's until the
tar seal road turns to gravel, continue for 1/2 km.
- On your left you will see an
electric gate. There is a code which changes monthly.
- When you have entered the code, drive down to the end of the
road until you see the beach, the road forks, take the road to the
right and drive past all of the houses along the beach. At the point
the tar seal road turns to gravel turn right up a steep driveway.
