Fishing and diving are unbeatable in the bay. Boat launching is easy on the beach with a 4-wheel drive, while there are numerous spots for fishing off the rocks.  You can dive the rainbow warrior shipwreck or just have a look at the wonderful array of fish and sea flora and fauna, at the same time catching some crayfish for the BBQ.

There are at least five surf breaks, including beach, point and reef breaks. Windsurfing and kitesurfing can be outstanding in the bay, and perfect for beginners in the estuary.

Kayaking can be enjoyed around the coast or in the waves.
